Dermatology

Dermatology is the medicine concerned with diagnosing and treating diseases of the skin, hair and nails.

We have an outpatient dermatology service based at Tauranga Hospital and Whakatāne Hospital for the assessment, education and treatment of dermatological conditions, particularly those that are of a chronic nature.

A referral from a GP or other primary care practitioner is required for this service.
