Pamela - CMN District Nursing Manager and Nurse Leader, Regional Community Services
Since joining us in 2003, Pamela has valued the on-going support she’s been able to provide within the wider community in her role as manager of CNM District Nursing and Nurse Leader for Regional Community Services.
Pamela is passionate about ensuring there are systems and resources in place so the Community Services staff can work safely and efficiently to provide the best possible care for patients in the community. Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty make this mission easier by ensuring staff have access to education opportunities and quality equipment.
In this busy and rewarding role, no two days are the same, or are her places of work. You could find her working in the office somewhere in the Bay of Plenty, but it’s likely that she could be out and about caring for patients on home visits, supporting her team or helping in the clinic.
For Pamela it’s the people that make our organisation such a fantastic place to work.
‘It’s an environment where you get to know others on a personal level, we all support each other – we work and live to our CARE values’.
Working to the Manaakitanga CARE values, we have created an environment where staff can deliver better care – shaping a workplace where nurses feel empowered to care not only for their patients but also their team and themselves.
She is incredibly proud of her staff group and the team ethic they all bring to work every day.
Outside of work, Pamela loves the carefree lifestyle that comes with living in the Bay of Plenty – the great weather, stunning beaches, and positive community. Having recently taken up golf, she also enjoys getting out on the beautiful local golf courses and playing tennis.
